The pregnancy stone that was passed on to me - by Nienke

It was spring 2017 when I received a simple handwritten note from my colleague Nathalie saying that I needed to keep this special rock close to me at all times. It was a moonstone and the letter touched me as I was grateful I had such a sweet colleague looking out for me. But to be honest I was a bit sceptical about the power of the stone itself.

After a healthy pregnancy two years earlier that resulted in a gorgeous baby boy, I had two intense miscarriages and I was trying everything I could to get pregnant again.

Believe it of not, I was pregnant 4 weeks after I got this special moonstone. I held the stone close to me until I had another healthy baby boy was in January 2018.

10 weeks after my second son was born I felt the urgent need to pass it through to a close friend, Kiki, who had tried to get pregnant for a year and a half already. And guess what?! She was immediately pregnant as well!

Now, I understand there is no medical proof or guarantee that this stone specifically helped all three of us have a healthy pregnancy, but I believe in my heart that it calmed my nerves, slowed me down and helped centre my thoughts in this emotional time. I loved the thought of passing it on, too. These little gifts of nature are here for all of us when we need them most.
